About Us
With 30-years experience as a design-biased chartered architect Nic Sampson founded Co-Lab in 2017; a consultancy focussed on the production of architecture that embraces collaborative and creative practice whilst working across commercial and private-individual projects. This means working closely with clients, co-professionals and constructors across a range of scales in order to help realise objectives and dreams - whilst always placing design quality at the heart of each project.
Co-Lab provides a creative, enquiring and responsive consultancy platform that draws upon the considerable experience of its founder as a designer of buildings, a researcher, professional advisor, architectural historian and client-confidante.
Co-Lab seeks to challenge early perceptions, interrogate accepted thinking and always aims to exceed client expectations. Securing implementable planning consents not only enhances property value but also starts on the road to realising dreams. This important initial stage of every project is the focus for

Designer
Gosia is a designer and visualiser and has been with the consultancy from the outset. Her particular interests & skills are in Interior Design, client consultation, briefing and then 3D-drawing that make our designs visually accessible and understandable to clients.
Nic Sampson RIBA
Principal
Nic is a chartered architect with over 30-years experience in private practice. He is a graduate of the Royal College of Art and his focus has always been in creative design and generating inventive solutions to his client’s built-environment challenges. As the founder & principal of Co-Lab Nic brings a consistency and a reasoned attitude to creative design, planning and delivering solutions that aim to exceed original expectations.
